Business Description
Come join your hosts, Suzanne and Otis Huston and enjoy the atmosphere of a slower paced yesterday at the Georgian revival Thornrose House at Gypsy Hill. Located in the city of Staunton, Thornrose House offers spacious greenery with its acre of gardens and the 300 acre Gypsy Hill Park located across the street. The Downtown Historic Districts, unique shops, fine restaurants, and Shenandoah Shakespeare's Blackfriars Playhouse are within walking distance or a short free trolley ride.

The Inn provides five guest rooms each distinctively decorated and named for an English locality, guest parlor with overstuffed sofa and chairs, oriental rugs and family heirlooms, wrap-around veranda great for easing back in a rocking chair, and spacious grounds and gardens for strolling or just relaxing.

Across from the Inn is Gypsy Hill Park where an endless number of activities can be found including tennis and golf. On Monday and Thursday nights during the summer, outdoor concerts are scheduled, many featuring Staunton's own Stonewall Brigade Band, the oldest continuously performing community concert band in the country.
