On the Shores of the Highest Lake in the East

Glenville, on the shores of the highest lake east of the Mississippi River, is an enjoyable spot for boating, fishing, or camping at the popular Ralph J. Andrews Park. The lake, crated by construction of a hydroelectric dam in 1940 as part of the war effort, flooded many original buildings; however, the historic 1849 Hamburg Baptist Church remains.
